The Spider-Man play set storyline pins Peter Parker and his friends against the Green Goblin and Mysterio, who have cloned the Venom symbiote in order to take down SHIELD. Aside from Nick Fury and Nova, the cast of Spider-Man's play set has a very Marvel Knights street level feel to it.

The Spider-Man play set will expand on the initial Avengers play set by bringing Spidey, Nick Fury, Iron Fist, Nova, and Venom onto the roster. Disney Interactive has now confirmed that the web-slinger will receive his own play set. The initial 2.0 trailer teased a Spider-Man appearance, but up until now we didn't know when or how he would be packaged for consumers.
